- Can I remove sand to make a SandBell lighter? We do not recommend it. Each SandBell is sized to be firm and flexible at the specified weight.
- Can I buy empty SandBells? Hyperwear found over the years that sand found in home improvement stores can be poor quality with a lot of dust or dirt. You can find some sources for empty or contact our sales department if you need them.
- Can I clean a SandBell? Yes, you can clean them the same way you would clean a medicine ball or slam ball.

A good all around product for conditioning
I am a personal trainer and I train myself and my clients with 6, 10, 15 and 20 lb Sandbells. They are probably the most versatile piece of exercise equipment I will ever own and use. You can use it indoors and out. You can toss them, catch them, lift them, slam them and more. The part I like the best is they are SAFE. What other piece of exercise equipment can you bring into your house without fear of dropping or hitting something without damage? And Hyperwear gives you lots of videos to show you the many different ways to use all their products. And their customer service is spot on.

I use these when I am at group workouts for slams, tosses and broad jumps/froggers, bear crawls and flips over as you go, planks and pull overs from one side to the other or just carry on a run lap for a weighted lap. They are not stable weight like a weight plate and the weight of the sand shifts and makes you adjust. They are very versatile. I recommend that if you do slams with them that you do it onto a workout mat to prevent wear on the neoprene.
I have quite a few active older adult clients and this is a great weight to use for many different exercises.

This product has changed my fitness game. I no longer rely on situps to improve my core strength- amen! I use sandbells for plank exercises and other full body stuff and I haven't had to do a traditional sit up since.
