Home Workout in Your Living Room

ARTICLE OVERVIEW

Being forced to workout from home has been an interesting challenge for me. The living room has become my home workout space and I need gear that fits into that space for optimal training results. My tiny one bedroom apartment completely destroys any other option. Working out in such a small space is a real struggle with both space and noise concerns. Too much noise can lead to a bad relationship with my neighbors, in addition to threats from the leasing office. So how do I get an effective home workout accomplished despite all of these issues?

My workouts always consist of creating space to move in. As I mentioned, there is only a small amount of space in my apartment and my coffee table in the middle of my living room doesn’t help. To combat this issue, all of my workouts start with moving the table out of the way.

After I’ve created space, I will stick to a planned workout. I have tried freestyling workouts off the top of my head before, but that usually results in stopping after about five seconds. Instead, I will write out my program before I workout based on the goals I have set for the session. Right now, the biggest challenge for me is keeping the weight off. For this reason, my workouts consist primarily of total body exercises. Total body workouts are the most effective way to lose weight as they incorporate more muscles than a traditional broset.

Hyperwear offers the perfect products for these total body exercises. Offering the Hyper Rope, SandBell PRO and Hyper Vest, Hyperwear’s products are designed to challenge the body in a small amount of space. Gear can all be stored in a corner, making it easy to transition from a hardcore workout to a live-able space.

With that in mind, here are the top 3 workouts for your living room!

SandBell Pro Squat Series: Squat, Squat To Press, Single Arm Press

A great way to improve exercise is modifying the an exercise to emphasize different aspects of fitness. In this series, you can utilize a slow and controlled squat to challenge your squat’s rang of motion. Then, you can challenge the squat through speed by quickly squatting down and pressing overhead. The final move is focused on controlling the SandBell Press with one hand. This forces the core to adapt so that the body stays straight up without a lean.

Hyper Vest FIT shoulder tap + Hyper Rope Waves

This superset focuses on a similar concept to our first block. Once again, we will focus on core control through Shoulder Taps in a plank position. The vest will add an extra challenge as you try not to shift your weight. Meanwhile, jumping into waves will challenge the cardiovascular system.

Side Plank Hyper Rope Opener + SandBell PRO Squat Thrust

One of the most important aspects for daily life is core control. The side plank with a reach will isolate the core and shoulder. By isolating the two body parts, you can correct any disfunction you see. Meanwhile the Squat Thrust will build on the previous move to challenge the body in a global fashion. The squat thrust will utilize the entire body, helping burn more calories to get you fit and stay fit while training at home.
