SANDBELL®
Stronger - Faster - Better
Description: Hyper Wear's SandBell is a cross between a sandbag, a dumbbell, a barbell, a grip bag, a medicine ball, a slam ball, and a kettlebell. Made of tough stretchy neoprene, the SandBell is the most versatile and enjoyable functional weight training tool on the market. Sizes range from 2lb to 50lb. Even more amazing is that the SandBell utilizes a patent pending fill mechanism that allows the end user to fill or empty the SandBell with whatever fill material desired.
Benefits and Uses:
Advantages v. Dumbbell and Barbell
- Grip strength challenge
- Variable sand volume (due to easy fill mechanism) changes grip ability
- Soft and safe
Advantages v. Kettlebell
- Grip strength challenge
- Shifting sand challenge
- Variable sand volume which duplicates the characteristics of kettlebell
- Soft and safe version of a sand kettlebell
Advantages v. D-Ball Medicine Ball and Grip Bags
- Fill to capacity for firm sandbell and two—handed work
- More durable and safe
Special Features: Beyond the amazing functionality and multiple applications, the SandBell boasts a patent pending fill mechanism (called a ’Ngazzle’ — pronounced nozzle) which allows the owner to fill or remove sand (or other fill material) at their leisure. Normally, sandbags, dumbbells, and similar equipment face steep charges when shipped. SandBells, however, can be shipped empty and filled on site with minimal effort — and Huge Savings! You can ship a full set of Empty SandBells (which, when filled are a total of 222 lbs) for around $10. Then you can get your own sand for less than $25 at the local Home Improvement store and fill them yourself.
Features: Thick, double sided neoprene is soft and stretchy to the touch, but also durable enough to be pulled, yanked, and abused daily. One side shows a Hyper Wear Logo with the SandBell’s weight in pounds. A colored ring encircles the SandBell, giving a visual indication of the weight.
Specifications: SandBells come in the following weight/colors: 2 lb — Red, 4 lb — Orange, 6 lb — Yellow, 8 lb — Green, 10 lb — Blue, 12 lb — Indigo, 15 lb — Violet, 20 lb — Black, 25 lb — Neon Green, 30 lb — Grey, 40 lb — Silver, 50 lb — Gold. You may also purchase a special funnel in our store to help fill your new SandBells. Weights of the SandBells are approximate, as you can determine your own about of fill, making the SandBells more solid or more squishy.

WHO LOVES SANDBELLS? |
James Cotter, Pro-Triathlete writing about the Hyper Vest weight vest, Hyper Precool Vest cooling vest, and SandBell sandbags: "I often wear a Hyper Vest during a trail run or speed work on the track. Just 6 pounds added to my body weight is actually quite challenging and it definitely has helped increase my leg strength. Hyper Wear is also coming out with a cooling vest, the Hyper Precool Vest, to help athletes cool their core before training or competition. It’s still the in the works right now but I got to try it out for a couple of weeks. I used it before and after long rides as well as on the trainer. It helped keep my body temperature down which is a tremendous help. I read claims by Nike that their precool vest provided to olympic athletes in Beijing could improve performance 21%. Recently, I have also been adding the SandBell to my workouts and I am impressed with their versitility, durability, and portability." |
