HYPER PRECOOL VEST

Stronger - Faster - Cooler ..

Description: Next in a line of products from the inspired innovation of Hyper-Wear, the Hyper PreCool vest is very cool. The one piece vest, with an innovative and stylish side zipper, is designed to cool the body’s core temperature using up to eight uniform size gel or phase change cooling packs that can easily be inserted. Select the gel packs for deep low temperature cooling and the phase change cooling packs for long lasting low temperatures. The Hyper PreCool Vest also employs the patented control system of the Hyper Vest weighted vest allowing you to engage in movement while wearing the vest since the cooling packs are held in place.

Benefits and Uses: Using the vest to cool the body’s core temperature provides a big advantage to an athlete. Approximately 75% of energy used by the human body is needed to maintain normal body temperature and only 25% of energy is used to fire our muscles. Precooling an athlete’s core temperature reduces the demands on the body to cool its own core and preserves muscle energy for a competition. An athlete’s endurance can improve up to 21%. The Hyper Precool Vest is also a convenient and inexpensive solution for other cooling vest applications such as industrial safety, motorcycling, emergency response, military, construction workers, landscapers, rehabilitation, therapy for multiple sclerosis and other conditions, and even under mascot costumes.

Research: Ice vests or precooling were in wide use in the Bejing Olympics with Nike providing a precool vest for U.S. athletes and UK Sport providing an ice vest solution for its athletes.

Features: Constructed from an advanced wicking fabric with 4 front and 4 back side loading pouches to hold either Elasto-gel packs or phase change cooling packs. Side zipper design allows for simplicity of having all pouches for cooling packs being of uniform size. Patented Hyper Wear design keeps cooling packs in place during activity such as a warm up for an event.

Specifications: Comes in small, medium, large, and XL. A set of four Elasto-gel packs or phase change packs sold separately.

WHO LOVES the Hyper PreCool Vest?

James Cotter, Pro-Triathlete writing about the Hyper Vest weight vest and Hyper Precool Vest cooling vest:

"I often wear a Hyper Vest during a trail run or speed work on the track. Just 6 pounds added to my body weight is actually quite challenging and it definitely has helped increase my leg strength. Hyper Wear is also coming out with a cooling vest, the Hyper Precool Vest, to help athletes cool their core before training or competition. Its still the in the works right now but I got to try it out for a couple of weeks. I used it before and after long rides as well as on the trainer. It helped keep my body temperature down which is a tremendous help. I read claims by Nike that their precool vest provided to olympic athletes in Beijing could improve performance 21%."

Trey Hardee -US Olympic Decathlete - has been using the Hyper Vest weight vest in preparation for the 2009 season:

"I have never seen or used a weight vest like the Hyper Vest. It stays tight, comfortable and cool on my body enabling me to increase my bodyweight while training. It makes adding resistance to my workouts effortless and I would recommend it to any track and field athlete who is looking to take the next step."
