The following is a list of our nationally recognized experts who act as our advisors.  Each of them support, endorse, and stand behind our products as well as assist with research and development of new products and programs.  Our advisors help Hyperwear navigate the fitness and rehab industry so that we can be a catalyst for healthy lifestyles. Jim_Liston

Jim Liston

Is the Chair of the Advisory Council for Product & Program Development and R&D for Hyperwear. Jim is President and Founder, CATZ (Competitive Athlete Training Zone), Strength and Conditioning Coach for Chivas USA of the MLS, and one of the country’s leading experts on creating and delivering exercise programs for children as well as inspiring kids to embrace the benefits of physical activity. Jim has been a featured speaker on these topics to organizations such as the American Physical Therapy Association; National Strength and Conditioning Association; the California Parks and Recreation Society; the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance; and the American Youth Soccer Organization.

Jim has trained numerous professional athletes including David Beckham and celebrities such as Rachel Hunter.

Jim has been featured as an expert on training youth athletes in The New York Times, NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, Newsweek, Business Week, and Men’s Health. He presently serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Clinical Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California.

Jim holds a BS from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters in Health Science from Springfield College. He has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 1995. Jim enjoys running a mountain at dawn for fun …. Really. 

 

 
Vern_Gambetta

Vern Gambetta


Vern is currently is the Director of Gambetta Sports Training Systems. As a pioneer in the field he is considered the father of “Functional Sports Training.”  Vern's coaching experience spans 41 years at all levels of competition. He has authored over 100 articles and seven books on various aspects of training.

Gambetta received his BA from Fresno State University in 1968, and his teaching credential with a coaching minor from University of California Santa Barbara in 1969. In 1973-74 Gambetta attended Stanford University and obtained his MA in Education with an emphasis in physical education.  Gambetta also played at Fresno State and competed in a decathlon as a post collegian.

Bill_Meyer

Bill Meyer


Bill formerly was Performance Director of CATZ in Austin. Bill began his career with The University of North Texas Track and Field Team where he was an assistant coach in their Strength and conditioning program. Bill has extensive experience working with athletes at the professional and collegiate level. He has coached athletes such as John Danks from Major League Baseball and players for the National Football League.

Meyer received his BS in Kinesiology and History from the University of North Texas. He is a Certified Personal Trainer, and USA Weightlifting Level I Coach who is SPARQ Certified. Meyer is also a licensed Nutrition Consultant. Meyer has recently received the highly sought-after certification of Strength and Conditioning Expert from the world renowned Tudor Bompa Institute in Ontario, Canada, which shows his expertise in periodized planning and sport specific training.
