QUESTIONNAIRE:
1. What is your favorite Hyperwear product? Why?
I love the 30 pound SteelBell. There is nothing I can’t do with this product. Incredibly versatile and powerful, I can bring some incredibly fit individuals to their knees with one SteelBell and just a few minutes. If I could just have one fitness product for the remainder of my life, this would be it.
2. What is your favorite sport? How do Hyperwear products help you perform?
I love running ultras. Nothing better than a seemingly insurmountable challenge and being able to overcome….it is a high that is tough to describe. I love the isolation of running trails for hours on end in remote areas but that doesn’t leave a lot of time for the weight room. I use the heavier Steelbells and weight vest to get almost all of my resistance and strength training. Without those tools, my body turns to mush pretty quickly.
3. What is your favorite place to exercise in Austin? Why?
The greenbelt. There are no time limits (well, legally there are…but), I can run day or night, rain or shine, and there are so many miles of beautiful singletrack in this city. Rarely do I ever see more than a handful of people and rarely do I repeat the same course. There are a few folks that know these trails better than me, but not many.
4.What is your favorite restaurant?
Anything that has good beer and good burgers. Right now Hop Doddy is ridiculous good….but, good luck getting into that joint. For my time and money, it is real tough to beat The Tavern.
5.Tell us something interesting about yourself.
I have a beautiful wife of 10 years (we started dating when I was 19) and 4 kids all under the age of 7. Life is almost always so close to unraveling but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Also, I ran a 100 miles this summer in Wyoming with one of my best friends (since second grade)….so hard, so rewarding, so fun. I would encourage all you softies to go try this.
