Hyper Training Lab: Total Body Circuit Using Dynamic Training Tools

Welcome back to the Hyper Training Lab! In this week’s lab, Diane welcomes another one of Hyperwear’s Training Ambassadors, Britny Fowler, as the guest coach. In this circuit, Britny takes us through some great total body conditioning exercises that combine three dynamic training tools- the SandBell, Hyper Vest Pro and TRX suspension bands. The video and circuit highlight the effectiveness of the Hyper Vest PRO, and how the vest is a great tool to add load to TRX exercises, and increase the overall intensity of the circuit.

Total Body Circuit Exercises:

  1. TRX/Hyper Vest Pro one leg squat to hip hinge combination
  2. SandBell rotational push-up
  3. TRX/Hyper Vest Pro torso rotation
  4. SandBell burpee slam

Workout Wednesday: Warehouse Edition 6.22.11 Circuit training with SandBell and TRX Suspension Trainer

It’s summer, it’s hot and honestly, beating the heat just isn’t an option. So, embrace it! This week, the Hyper Wear staff took to the warehouse to bring you one intensely-fun circuit workout using SandBells and the TRX Suspension Trainer!

Set-up: Depending on how many SandBells you own, you can complete each circuit using the same SandBell, or create each circuit station with multiple SandBells. You’ll also need to find a place to securely attach your TRX Suspension Trainer for the t-pull station.

Warm-up: Five to ten minutes of jogging, jumping-jacks, jumping rope, etc.

Duration: 45 seconds at each station, with a 15 second transition in between stations.

Station 1. Level change with dead lift – For this two handed Romanian dead lift, begin with feet hip-width distance apart, keep your back flat and knees slightly bent. Raise and lower the SandBell to the floor, hinging at the hips and making sure the back is flat and that you’re completing the drill within your range of motion

Station 2. T Pull – Using the TRX Suspension Trainer, set your back and shoulders so you’re in a solid plank position leaning backward with feet slightly raised off the ground. With hands outstretched, forming a “T” shape with your body, bring hands together and apart, slightly lowering and raising your body. This drill focuses on posterior shoulder muscles, so be sure to keep your arms straight and extended and that each motion is smooth and controlled.

Station 3. Prong plank with alternating leg lifts – Begin in the plank position, elbows each resting on a SandBell (this is for comfort, if you don’t have two SandBells then complete the exercise with elbows on the floor). Make sure to keep everything from your shoulders to trunk still and straight, and then alternate raising each leg six to eight inches off the ground. When alternating, raise the leg straight up and not out to the side and focus on maintaining core stability.

Station 4. Scissor locomotion – Start with legs split, in a slight lunge position and feet hip-width distance apart. Slightly jump while “scissoring” your legs front to back and maintaining the lunge position, keep feet hip-width distance apart at all times and land on the balls of your feet.

Station 5. Figure eight – Start with feet spread and knees slightly bent in a squat position. Grab and hand off the SandBell to each hand while making a figure eight motion, going under and over each leg. Focus on grip strength and hand-eye coordination to improve agility, stability and overall coordination.

Repeat the circuit four or five times, and be sure to end with a five minute cool down. For those of you wanting to take this circuit to the next level, complete this circuit series while wearing your Hyper Vest PRO!

Tim Meyer Combines Stronger Grip with Hyper Wear – MMM #76

Sprinter Workout with SandBell, TRX & Hyper Vest PRO – MMM #71

Good Monday Morning!

This week I’m sending off one of my most long serving athletes to his first year of college, Jack Wallace, and we’re doing it in Hyper-style!!

Jack attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal School here in Austin and is about to begin his collegiate track and field career at the University of the Redlands in California this month.

He is a hard-working, dedicated 400m sprinter that is ready to take his abilities to the collegiate ranks, and I’ve been helping him prepare for that goal since late 2009.

I caught his final workout with me on camera and decided to share it with you! He’s working with a Hyper Vest PRO, 25 lb SandBell, TRX, and other great toys we have here at CATZ!

We’re back at the beach!!! Today’s MMM takes place at South Padre Island at our beautiful hotel, the Isla Grande. The Hyper Team makes its second visit to the SEA Summit to show off our wonderful products, the SandBell and the Hyper Vest COOL. Both appear in this week’s video along with the TRX Suspension System and some helpful palm trees too!

We present to you today a combo series of pull-ups, walk-ups, TRX Flags, and a single arm pull-up and press with a SandBell. Sparrow and I had so much fun shooting this video – so get yourself a SandBell, HV Cool, TRX and a friendly palm tree and get to training! Thank you to all of the SEA Summit friends for your support!!

We’re continuing to find awesome ways to use the TRX Suspension Training.  They have lots of videos featuring excellent group training, so we decided to throw some partner work into the mix.  Here is a killer combo of SandBell tosses and single arm pull-ups with the TRX that will surely take your partner training to an extreme level!

Please Note: When using the TRX as one unit instead of the traditional two ropes, make sure to follow the safety instructions to avoid injury. Safety first, then have fun!

Good Monday Morning!

We’ve back for the fourth workout in our TRX + Hyper Wear series.  Some people new to TRX may have a common misconception that you can’t utilize other pieces of equipment while using it. Hopefully this series of TRX/Sandbell Exercises has proven those misconceptions WRONG!!

So, what do we have in store for you now? This week, we’re going into plank position.  It’s time to rock the core strength and stability and take it to an extreme level.  Want help with your upper body strength and core stability, but tired of doing bench presses and crunches?
